EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)

Is a therapeutic approach that integrates elements of psychotherapy with bilateral stimulation of the brain. We use it in individuals who have experienced traumatic events or have other symptoms of anxiety or depression. During the EMDR session, the individual focuses on the distressing memories while engaging in bilateral stimulation, which helps reprocessing the traumatic memories and alleviate the associated emotional distress. The goal of EMDR is to promote healing and resolution.

Cognitive behavioral therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely recognized and effective approach in the field of psychology. It is a goal-oriented therapy that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behavior. By changing our thought pattern, we can bring about positive changes in our lives and overcome a wide range of psychological issues and improve overall wellbeing.

As a psychotherapist and Yoga therapist, I incorporate CBT principles into my practice to help clients address their mental health concerns and achieve therapeutic goals. Through a combination if insightful discussion, cognitive restructuring, and behavioral experiments, CBT empower individuals to develop resilience, built confidence and foster positive changes in their lives.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

TMS is a noninvasive form of brain stimulation used for depression. When other standard treatments such as medications and talk therapy has failed. Generally, TMS is considered safe and well-tolerated

Procedure

Before treatment begins, your doctor will put the magnetic helmet on your head. An electromagnetic helmet will be placed against your head and switched on to produce stimulating pulses. This results in a tapping or clicking sound that usually lasts for a few seconds, followed by a pause. You'll also feel a tapping sensation on your forehead. The best dose of magnetic energy for you will be transmitted to your brain.

Yoga therapy and meditation

Yoga Therapy is a holistic/spiritual therapy. In Yoga therapy we use ancient yogic knowledge and modern therapeutic approaches to help you deepen your awareness and to help you accept yourself.

A Yoga Therapy one-on-one session consists of a yoga posture combined with modern therapeutic approaches such as EMDR, CBT and mindfulness. This approach will help the client work through the blockages in the body and release stress and old traumas. At the end of the session, we will integrate whatever came up during the session, whether it is physically, emotionally, intellectually or spiritually so you can understand the bigger picture of yourself. Profound changes at all levels have been known to occur in a single individual session.
